While conservatories in Europe usually create hot and humid climates their counterparts in the tropics have to be cooled down to grow all the “exotic” plants from cold regions. Behind the eye-catching new gardens on Singapore’s waterfront, created by a team of UK engineers and architects, lies a combination of measures that hold lessons for the sustainable design of buildings in hot and humid conditions.
Während Gewächshäuser in Europa meist ein heißes und feuchtes Klima erzeugen, müssen sie in den Tropen gekühlt werden, damit all die „exotischen“ Pflanzen aus den kühlen Regionen in ihnen gedeihen.
