In 1986, the explosion of the nuclear reactor in Chernobyl contaminated the nearby town and sent a radioactive cloud all over europe. A hastily erected sarcophagus is already crumbling and leaking radiation. Soon, however, a new gigantic arched hall – the largest moveable land-based structure ever built – will encapsulate the old sarcophagus and the ruins of reactor 4.
1986 hat eine Explosion im Kernkraftwerk Chernobyl die naheliegende Stadt verseucht und eine radioaktive Wolke freigesetzt, die sich über ganz Europa ausgebreitet hat. Ein eilig über dem Reaktor errichteter Sarkophag bröckelt inzwischen und lässt Radioaktivität entweichen. Bald wird jedoch eine neue gigantische Bogenhalle – die größte jemals an Land gebaute, be- wegliche Struktur – den alten Sarkophag und die Ruinen des Reaktor 4 umschließen.
